The Washington Wizards look to turn things around against the Bucks
Following a breakdown in overtime against the Toronto Raptors, the Washington Wizards will certainly be looking to turn things around against the Milwaukee Bucks. This could be a huge game for the Wizards as they hold only a slight cushion over the Chicago Bulls for the ten seed.
While this is definitely not the team that they want to be in a huge game against, this is what they get for turning the ball over 24 times in the last game. If they turn the ball over less, maybe they have a chance at pulling off an upset.
Heading into the game, the Washington Wizards have a lot going against them.
Hours before tip-off the Wizards are already facing a number of different disadvantages. Something that could prove to be a huge problem as the game progresses.
First, the Wiz are facing a huge injury problem as of course Monte Morris is facing multiple weeks off with a leg injury. However, in the overtime loss to the Raptors, a couple of other players were injured as well. Kyle Kuzma seemed to be in pain at one point but played through it and Deni Avdija left early on with a stomach bug.
While Kuzma played through his injury, he is listed as out for this game and Avdija is listed as questionable. His potential absence could be a huge blow to the Wizards already subpar defense.
Second, the Bucks are fresh off of an embarrassing loss where they blew an 18-point lead after winning 16 games in a row. They will be looking for a win in this game to get them back on track. Especially with the Wizards being a potential playoff opponent.
If the Washington Wizards want to win this game, they will have to overcome more than just the difference in team quality. They will need to fight through injuries and want this win more than the Bucks do as well. Easier said than done.
