Both Kendrick Nunn and Monte Morris could be involved in a package deal to improve the Wizards roster.

While Kendrick Nunn may be a free agent, he may be used in a sign and trade to a team that still believes in the young point guard. Either way he is likely not coming back next season. He hardly plays behind the already jammed up guard rotation and it would be better for both parties to move on.

Monte Morris on the other hand is still on contract through next season. However, he hasn’t exactly been a huge bright spot for the Wizards, he hasn’t been bad though. He just hasn’t been what the Wizards have needed from their starting point guard.

The Wiz need a point guard who can move the ball and create shots for both himself and for others. Primarily, they need a player who can distribute the ball and allow both Bradley Beal and Kyle Kuzma to play off the ball. That doesn’t describe either of these point guards.

It would make sense for the Wizards to move Morris if he isn’t able to provide what the team needs. He is still a valuable backup point guard and could be used to pick up a much-improved player at the position when combined with the other players listed earlier.

If neither of these players can start providing what the team needs from their position, they may be watching the end of their Wizards careers as they may be moved or let go in the offseason.

None of these four players have guaranteed their spots on the roster next year for the Washington Wizards and as of right now, it would be in the team’s best interest to move on from them. It will be interesting to see how they play the rest of the season and how that translates into the offseason.
