Keyonte George could be the exact player that the Washington Wizards need.

One of the most well-rounded guards in college basketball outside of Anthony Black, Keyonte George also features plenty of upside in nearly every area of play. His all-around talent makes him an interesting prospect for teams like the Washington Wizards.

He is a player that is in control almost 100% of the time on offense, while he may make lapses in judgement or miss a player while making a play, he still is capable of running an offense, especially as a lead scoring option.

His three-point percentage hasn’t been too promising this season, but since he was a good shooter in high school and his free throw percentage is a respectable 79.7%, there is reason for teams to have faith in his ability to grow in that area.

While he may be far from a traditional point guard, he uses his scoring threat as leverage to find open teammates. Something that many elite scorers don’t have the ability to do for years.

His defense may not translate to the NBA due to his smaller six-foot four frame, but he puts in effort, something that the Wizards lack at times.

His playstyle of creating by scoring could limit his ability with the Washington Wizards as they already have three ball dominant players. Four if you count Deni Avdija, but he sits in the corner a lot.

Bringing in a player like George could be beneficial if he shifts his game into being more of a playmaking guard, but that’s a big ask and the Wizards already have numerous players in the wrong roles. Making this an unlikely fit.

Still, if he shows up in March Madness and shows an eye for finding teammates outside of isolation plays and the pick ‘n’ roll, then his likelihood of being a Wizards will skyrocket.

Any of these players could be great for the Washington Wizards and their decision on draft night could be based on how each of them plays in the next few weeks.
