After seemingly aggravating an injury that has been bothering him for a while during their previous matchup against the Philadelphia 76ers, Kyle Kuzma is listed as out for their upcoming game against his hometown team: the Detroit Pistons.

Kuzma as had some recurring issues with his leg and knee over the last few weeks. His knee is once again holding him as questionable. One thing to note is the fact that he has played through these injuries on numerous occasions. His willingness to tough it out proves that he has the heart of a champion and wants to win games.

Potentially losing Kyle Kuzma has serious implications for the Wizards.

Kuzma has been incredibly important for the Wizards this season as he is putting up career numbers nearly across the board. He is the third name in the three headed snake that the team has been running all season and is 100% the fan favorite on the team right now.

Missing this game could cause the Wizards to struggle finding scoring when they can’t find an opening in the opposing defense. Lots of Kyle Kuzma’s shots are result of failed sets and are last second shot attempts in an effort to salvage the possession.

Without Kuzma, that job goes to Bradley Beal or Kristaps Porzingis who can be a bit streaky at times and aren’t as comfortable taking desperation shots at the end of the shot clock.

This seems to be a game that may be safe enough to have him sit out. The Pistons do have the worst record in the league and are also the most injured team as well. Sitting Kuzma could be a safe insurance move for tonight.

Verdict: Kyle Kuzma will not be playing tonight.
