Gilbert Arenas is the second-best point guard in Washington Wizards history.

Even though a lot of people know him for his infamous locker room incident, Arenas is one of the Wizards best point guards. It’s even safe to say he was one of the NBA’s top point guards when he was in his prime.

He spent his first two years with the Golden State Warriors before signing with the Wizards in 2003.

In just his second season with the Wizards, he and teammate Larry Hughes became the NBA’s highest-scoring backcourt, averaging a combined 47.5 points per game. Together, they led the Wizards to the playoffs and gave them their first series victory since 1982.

The one trait Arenas was known for most was his ability to knock down buzzer-beating 3-pointers, ultimately giving him the nickname “Agent Zero”. As a matter of fact, all five of his career buzzer-beaters were with the Wizards.

During the eight years he spent with the Wizards, he averaged 25 points and five assists. He was their all-time leader in 3-pointers made with 868 before Bradley Beal surpassed him in 2018.
