Jock Landale would be a perfect backup center for Daniel Gafford

The backup center for the Phoenix Suns may not be the biggest name on the market, but he is another guy who brings tons of energy off the bench. This fits the bill of what the Washington Wizards have lacked in recent years.

They have been a free way to the rim in recent years having broken the record for most point allowed in the paint twice. Adding an energy guy who is capable of stepping up defensively around the rim, even if he’s not a shot blocker, would be huge for this team.

While he isn’t the only guy on this list who is an endless ball of energy or that is a rim protector, he is the only player who really fits both sides of that coin. On top of that, he can also stretch the floor as an ok shooter for his position.

Landale seems like a great candidate to sign as a back up for Gafford should the Wizards go all in with this core.
