Nerlens Noel is a great rim protector off the bench

Another player I have covered before as a possible free agency target for the Wizards, Nerlens Noel is the type of player that can transform a team’s defense while coming off the bench. As he has shown in the past during his time with the New York Knicks, he is a player who can block and contest every shot that comes near him.

Once a top pick in his draft, now Noel has been quietly become one of the best defensive presences in the league. While he struggled to find his footing with the Detroit Pistons this year, it seems very likely that he could be a major asset for whatever team decides to pursue his talents.

Noel could be a lob threat for whoever is running the point this year and is also a capable rebounder despite his thin frame. Adding him to this current Wizards roster seems to have no real downsides.
