Max Strus would be a great addition to the Wizards’ bench

While he may not the most sought-after free agent, the ability of Strus to just shoot the ball and be in the right place at the right time is incredible. He may not be off to the best start in the Finals so far, but don’t let that fool you, he is a great floor spacer.

He is also a more than capable defender either staying in front of his assignments or guiding them into Bam Adebayo who can swat just about any shot into the third row. While he’s no Patrick Beverley, pairing him with Daniel Gafford on the court could be incredibly interesting

Strus settled down a bit after his stellar third-year season with Miami last year, shooting significantly worse from three. However, he also saw a notable uptick in three-point attempts this season as well.

Additionally, Strus would be a great upgrade for the Wizards bench. Scoring in the second unit has been a huge issue for the Wiz since they traded Rui Hachimura just before the trade deadline for Kendrick Nunn and a small handful of second-round picks.

This would be a great move in the right direction for the Washington Wizards as he adds multiple dimensions to the attack off the bench. Adding more shooters is never a bad idea either.
