The Washington Wizards move for Terry Rozier in a Kyle Kuzma trade

This trade just makes no sense for either of these teams. Neither team really gains anything and both positional needs that they’re filling could be fixed much easier in the draft.

For the Charlotte Hornets, Kyle Kuzma is definitely an intriguing player, but they could just pick up Brandon Miller with their second overall pick and retain Rozier who is a better point guard than Monte Morris.

Pairing Miller next to LaMelo Ball and possibly Miles Bridges is a better fit than Kyle Kuzma anyway. They would gain more from this trade if Daniel Gafford was involved instead of Kuzma, but then the argument of positional needs would come back to haunt the Wiz.

For the Washington Wizards, it’s the same sort of deal. They give up a quality forward for a quality point guard when they could just draft a point guard who fits the current roster much better in Anthony Black or Cason Wallace.

This is just a trade that wouldn’t peak my interest from either team’s perspective. This one won’t happen.
