No. 2 Bilal Coulibaly

Coulibaly was relatively unknown just a few short weeks ago, but now has risen to the point where some players are endorsing him to go in the top five. This includes both his teammate Victor Wembanyama and Wizards star Kyle Kuzma.

In the playoffs of the French Professional league, he has really stepped up his level of play, showing more flashes on offense than he has all season long. With his competition coming against grown men and in a high-pressure environment, it is very likely that it could translate to the NBA.

He is an incredibly athletic wing and features incredible defensive instincts. His defense is already on the level of some of the league’s premier wing defenders. Considering he’s only 18 years old and will only get better as he sees more action and puts on muscle, he would be worth the draft selection.

Also regarding his age, he has plenty of time to improve on his weaknesses. We have seen players with worse shooting form end up becoming elite sharpshooters like Lonzo Ball. This is really his only major concern as he is pretty solid off the dribble and is a willing passer.

As discussed by fellow Site Expert Cem Yolbulan, his potential is sky high which is why he could be drafted this high. Picking Coulibaly with their eighth pick could work out wonderfully for the Washington Wizards.
