The Wizards could make a move for the Warrior’s young stars

Recently, Jonathan Kuminga’s agent said that the Golden State Warriors either need to include the young power forward in the game plan or trade him. This is a move that could come back to haunt the team as the forward coming off of his sophomore outing has shown clear flashes of greatness.

The Washington Wizards could easily capitalize off of this as well as the growing rift between the established members of the franchise and the younger players by offering a huge deal. If Kristaps Porzingis opts into his player option, he is the perfect trade asset to entice the Warriors into trading youth for a veteran big.

While this may not be enough by itself to get the trade done, the Warriors also have Moses Moody and Patrick Baldwin Jr who are also interesting and could get the money to work.

Porzingis is on an expiring deal, making his contract much less of a worry than Jordan Poole’s huge contract set to kick in this offseason. He is also coming off of a season where he should have been an All-Star and was a threat to put up a monster game in any stat category this season.
