No. 4: Dallas Mavericks

As the Dallas Mavericks look to push past their failures from this past season, they could be looking to go star hunting. If that’s the case, placing a call to the Washington Wizards about Bradley Beal would make sense.

First and foremost, the trio of Luka Doncic, Kyrie Irving, and Beal would be a questionable fit at best. Defensively, it leaves much to be desired, and none of the three would be great at the small forward spot.

However, if the Mavericks are desperate for star talent, this deal could make sense. If they managed to put a solid defensive lineup around those three stars, it could be worth considering, at the very least.

Meanwhile, the Wizards would be adding a second pick in the lottery of this year’s draft, giving them a chance to add more young talent to the mix.

Jaden Hardy would be a nice pick-up for them, too. The young guard showed some real potential this past season with the Mavericks and could blossom into a quality player if given the right opportunities.

The rest of the players in this deal would be thrown in to match salaries, but both Tim Hardaway Jr. and Reggie Bullock could potentially net decent returns should the Wizards decide to flip them.

Of the trades on this list, this may not be the most realistic considering the fit of Doncic, Irving, and Beal, but if Dallas was interested, the thought of adding a top-10 pick could intrigue Washington.

Potential starting lineups

Mavericks: Luka Doncic, Kyrie Irving, Bradley Beal, Maxi Kleber, Dwight Powell (if re-signed)

Wizards: Jaden Hardy, Delon Wright, Corey Kispert, Deni Avdija, Kristaps Porzingis
