Trade No. 3

With the new front office and a change in values, the Washington Wizards now have players that seemingly no longer fit the vision of the franchise. Unfortunately, Corey Kispert is likely one of them.

The team has made it clear that defensive versatility and the ability to provide multiple threats on offense will be the priority. Neither of these describe Corey Kispert that well, making him liable to a trade.

He is also already 24 years old, limiting his potential growth on either end of the floor.

While this trade doesn’t immediately look like a win for the Wizards, they get a tradable contract in LaMar Stevens and a young win with high potential in Isaac Okoro. On top of that they also get two draft selections.

The Washington Wizards would be getting significantly younger going from a 24 and 31 years old to 22 and 25 years old. This seems like a good trade to dump pieces who probably aren’t sticking around much longer for a high potential prospect.
