The countdown for the 2023-24 NBA Season has begun as we are less than two months away from preseason and a little over two months away from the start of the regular season. For many, what marks the start of the new NBA season is the release of the schedule for every team. We finally have a date set for that special day. Here is all you need to know:

When is the full 82-game schedule released?

  • The 2023-24 NBA Season schedule will be released on Thursday, August 17 at 3 pm ET.

Where can I watch the schedule release?

  • It will be televised live by ESPN starting at 3 pm ET on Thursday.

What should the Wizards fans look out for?

  • The dates of the two matchups with the Golden State Warriors. More fuel was added to the fire that is the Draymond Green-Jordan Poole rivalry this offseason following Green’s comments. Poole’s return to the Bay Area and Green’s appearance in Capital One Arena will be must-see TV.
  • The number of national TV games. The Wizards have historically ranked low in the number of nationally televised games per season. With a young, rebuilding team, that is unlikely to change. However, it would be nice to have a few primetime slots against good competition.

How about the In-Season Tournament?
