After a decade of basketball in DC and multiple moments of greatness for the franchise largely overshadowed by a rough few years, Bradley Beal was finally traded earlier this summer to the Phoenix Suns.

This trade is what eventually paved the way for the Wizards to pick up Jordan Poole from the Warriors. However, Beal himself and how he will be received by the Capital One Arena’s crowd is still a mystery.

Many have devoted themselves to cheering for the long-time Wizard in his return to the DMV, but on the other side of the coin, many have claimed they will boo the player they once cheered for. Polls on various social media platforms show that most fans believe that he will receive a mixed reaction from Wizards fans.

Beal will return to DC on Sunday, February 4th at 3:30 PM. This game will be featured on NBA TV.

This will likely be one of the most viewed games the Wizards play this season following their matchups against the Warriors. Beal was a cornerstone of this franchise for a long time, it will be interesting to see how he is received.

All of these games will likely be sold out crowds for the Washington Wizards as they each have heavy emotional weight to them. They will definitely be matchups to tune in for.
