A package featuring Bennedict Mathurin and Obi Toppin could be intriguing

While Obi Toppin isn’t enough to be the center piece of a Kyle Kuzma trade like some of the other names on this list, when paired together with new teammate Bennedict Mathurin they could be enough for the Washington Wizards.

Mathurin started last season off hot before cooling down in the second half of the season and beginning to rely on taking a ton of shots and Toppin spent yet another year stuck behind Julius Randle and RJ Barrett.

They both have incredibly high ceilings, making them unlikely to be moved in any deal that doesn’t blow the Pacers off their feet, but a Kuzma deal and the increased level of competitiveness that comes with it could cause them to make a deal.

They could for a dynamic trio in the one, two, and three slots next to Bilal Coulibaly of insanely athletic wings who can switch on every screen. Paired with the dynamic offense of Jordan Poole and the defense of Daniel Gafford, the Wizards could have an interesting lineup.

If any of these 5 players are involved in a Kyle Kuzma trade, the Washington Wizards would get younger and improve on the defensive end of the floor. Both are major goals of the front office at the moment.
