The Golden State Warriors sharpshooter and Jordan Poole’s former teammate Klay Thompson said Poole and Kyle Kuzma together in Washington will be the “swaggiest buckets”.

And he is right. Kuzma and Poole’s shooting efficiency will almost certainly be debatable, but you can’t deny that they will look good running the offense. How good and effective the offense will be is another question, but having two confident and dynamic shotmakers like Kuzma and Poole will give the Wizards a boost in watchability.

Poole and Kuzma will be the two best players on the Wizards next season. Neither of them has played such a big role in their careers so far. Kuzma was a role player on the Los Angeles Lakers before joining the Washington Wizards, and he has been behind Kristaps Porzingis and Bradley Beal in the offensive hierarchy as a Wizard. Poole was a sixth man for the Warriors for the most part. Despite starting and closing some games as a Warrior, he was behind Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Andrew Wiggins, and Draymond Green in terms of offensive role.

Now, both players will have a chance to run their own offense. Poole certainly needed a fresh start after a tumultuous season with Golden State. This is an excellent opportunity for him to revive his career and trade value as a primary option.

Kuzma, on the other hand, is coming off a career season in which he averaged 21.2 points per game. His playmaking and defense have improved immensely since he came into the league. And at age 28, he is ready to be a team leader.

It will be fascinating to watch these two popular figures in a new challenge. If the Wizards overachieve, it will be on the backs of Kuzma and Poole. They would not only be helping Washington but also their own reputations around the league.
