At power forward for the Washington Wizards is Cooper Flagg

Age in 2028: 21

Comparison: a fully realized Anthony Davis

Initially praised as a defensive superstar, Cooper Flagg has recently taken huge strides on offense, becoming a stretch big who can also drive into the lane and put any defender on a poster.

He is widely considered to be the greatest prospect out of North America since LeBron James back in 2003. This is impressive company as Anthony Davis and Zion Williamson were both touted as future MVPs before they even stepped foot on an NBA court.

Flagg would clearly be the star of the show as he projects to be a dominant force on both ends of the ball. His size and athleticism allow him to not only be an extremely dangerous lob threat, but also give him the ability to swat just about any shot in his vicinity.

Even scarier, there is a very real chance he could still be growing, and he is likely working on ironing out any potential weaknesses in his game. It is clear that this is the guy that the Wizards should be targeting in this rebuild.

Recently, Flagg reclassified, moving him from the 2026 NBA Draft to the 2025 draft class. This drastically improves the Wizards’ odds of drafting the generational prospect as it gives them time to move on from players like Tyus Jones and Kyle Kuzma while also not giving them so much time that Bilal Coulibaly and Jordan Poole are able to take the next step.

Landing the top pick in 2025 could be the piece that turns the Washington Wizards into a dynasty.
