The Washington Wizards struggles this season have put the team in a tough spot moving forward.

In a year that an entire fanbase and coaching staff expected a major leap for the team's young core, the reoccurring issues, underwhelming performances and lackluster effort have been disappointing to say the least.

Nonetheless, these disappointing performances from the Wizards could lead Washington to finally turn their NBA Draft luck around and put them in position to not only win the sweepstakes for the No. 1 overall pick, but land the missing piece to the puzzle.

As draft season looms, NBA mock drafts have officially began to surface, including Bleacher Report, who's made sure to join the fun.

For Wizards' fans looking for some good news, let's just say if Bleacher Reports' latest mock draft were to come true, Washington could be find themselves taking a major step forward.

That said, here's a look at the Wizards selections in the most recent mock draft from Bleacher Report's Jonathan Wasserman.

The odds Washington keeps all of their picks in the 2026 NBA Draft is highly unlikely, but the quantity of the team's full two-round mock isn't what stands out.

Instead, the quality of the picks for the Wizards is what could project the team forward this offseason.

Starting off landing the top player in the draft, that many have argued to be the best guard prospect since Michael Jordan (yes, that's a real argument) could be major for Washington. Pairing Darryn Peterson alongside the likes of Tre Johnson in the backcourt could be scary.

Beyond that, the value in picks like Tahaad Pettiford in the late first and a stretch big like Alvaro Folgueiras in the second only makes this mock even better for Washington.

All that to say, the Wizards could be primed for a huge offseason if this mock draft comes to fruition.
