Jordan Poole is no longer a member of the Washington Wizards and based on his recent comments, it's safe to say the guard isn't losing any sleep at night.
The explosive guard was dealt to the New Orleans Pelicans in the first of many moves from general manager Will Dawkins when the offseason began.
Bringing in CJ McCollum and Kelly Olynyk along with draft compensation in exchange for Poole, Saddiq Bey and a second-round pick.
The move was mainly to bring in a veteran prescense, but with the chance to move off Poole's lucrative contract, it was a deal the Wizards front office just couldn't turn down.
Whether the move was beneficial for all parties involved is still unseen, but if you ask Poole, it seems that he's more than happy to be in New Orleans.
Not only does the former Warrior get the chance to team back up with his former teammate Kevon Looney, but according to the guard, he'll get the chance to finally catch a good screen on offense.
“I’m super excited. I haven’t had a good screen in two years.” 😅

Technically speaking, Poole could just be giving Looney credit for an area of the game he's known to be one of the best at in the league.
However, it's hard to not take this comment as a shot at the Wizards considering his time in Washington didn't offer much to his career, nor did his fit offer much to the team.
Then again, considering Jonas Valanciunas was on the roster at the start of the season, it's hard to say that Poole is being honest because that's another big man who has been credited for his ability to set oiutstanding screens and not just from previous stops, but by Wizards' players too.
Poole seemed to leave Washington on good terms considering the team helped him change the narrative about his contract being the worst in the NBA to a serviceable deal to take on.
Despite that, it's clear that Poole is more than happy to be apart of the Pelicans and leave his Wizards tenure in the rear view mirror.
Poole will have the chance to showcase what he has to offer in a situation many would consider a step closer to winning when compared to a team like Washington.
As for the Wizards, they'll head into the season hoping to prove that the departure of Poole and addition of McCollum to mentor their young backcourt and incoming rookie Tre Johnson was the right move after all.
