There's no denying that the Washington Wizards being at the bottom of the NBA standings only makes losing to them sting just a bit more.

Coming at the hands of one of the most struggling organizations in the league, being knocked off by the Wizards is bound to cause some sort of frustrations, especially when it comes in the midst of a stretch of bad losses.

For the Milwaukee Bucks, who've lost eight of their last 10 games, falling victim to the Wizards could be the last straw of an eventual breaking point.

Meanwhile, for Khris Middleton, it could be the veteran getting the last laugh against his former team.

Wizards hand Bucks upset loss

In Monday's battle against the Milwaukee Bucks, the Wizards put together one of their most complete efforts of the season knocking off Doc Rivers' squad 129-126.

Washington saw several contributors help lift the team to the win and although Middleton may not have been the leading scorer or the biggest threat in the win, the veteran forward's clutch three down the stretch is one of the biggest reasons the team managed to knock off Milwaukee.

As mentioned above, falling to the Wizards makes any loss sting just a bit more, but with the pressure placed on the organization to build a contender sooner rather than later from superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo, every loss seems to be one step closer to the Greek Freak's patience running out.

Dating back to last year's NBA trade deadline, Milwaukee's decision to move on from Middleton and acquire Kyle Kuzma was in efforts to surround Antetokounmpo with younger talent that could get them one step closer to making a playoff run.

Fast forward to now, all indications suggests the Bucks aren't closer to making a run to convince the forner MVP to commit long term.

In fact, at 9-13 on the season, they may be one step closer to the star forward requesting a trade out of Milwaukee..

While Middleton may not be praying on the downfall of his former team, it likely feels good to see his former team coming to a realization that moving on from him wasn't going to answer their problems after all.

Regardless of what the future holds for the Bucks, Washington could use this win as a bit of motivation to prove to their young core that they have the talent to compete on a nightly basis.
