The Washington Wizards have completely altered the state of the organizations future over the last few seasons by stacking an abundance of young talent with high potential on the roster.

Obviously, names like Bilal Coulibaly, Alex Sarr, and Tre Johnson immediately come to mind when discussing the core young players on the Wizards roster.

Potentially even Bub Carrington will be included in the list of top young talent in Washington.

However, the one player that seems to be flying under the radar now is the same prospect that seemingly flew under the radar in the first round of the 2024 NBA Draft class.

That player? Kyshawn George.

George was selected by the Wizards with the No. 24 overall pick in last year's NBA Draft. Entering his rookie season, the Miami product had very little expectations with many not being familiar of his game entering the league.

Despite that, the versatile forward quickly turned no expectations into quick optimism with his ability to impact the game in several ways.

First and foremost, George's size at 6-foot-8 allows for him to play multiple positions, which alone is beneficial on the defensive end of the court.

On the flip side, what George offers offensively may be the most unique part of his game. The wing has continuously shown flashes of great court vision and ability to facilitate with the ball in his hands. Not to mention how impactful he can be in offensive sets courtesy of his ability to handle the ball when needed.

Moving forward, there's plenty of hope that George's game could continue to develop for him to be the glue role player the team has long needed.

But considering the offseason work the former ACC standout is putting in, there's even more optimism now than there was when the regular season came to an end.

George's offensive game as a scorer continues to look promising and the clips surfacing on social media of his jumper from beyond the arc looking dangerously efficient is starting to make it seem like a realistic possibility that a sophomore leap is very much in the cards for the former first-round pick.

If he can indeed make a jump as a scorer, the rest of his game alone already shows enough promise to consider him a steal from the 2024 NBA Draft, but if his offensive game takes an unexpected jump as a scorer, it'll be hard to talk Wizards' fans down from that.

Regardless, one thing is clear and that is that George should be considered one of the best young players on the Wizards roster.
