The NBA offseason continues to unravel quickly with free agency set to kick off on Monday less than a week after the NBA Draft.

Looking ahead, the Washington Wizards are in an interesting position moving forward as they continue to stack young talent on their roster. In addition to the clear youth movement for Brian Keefe's squad, the Wizards have made it a point of emphasis to bring in veterans to keep their rebuild on track.

However, with free agency set to begin, general manager Will Dawkins could be in the market for some low-risk high-reward players that could be worth the swing for Washington heading into next season.

That said, here's a look at three intriguing prospects that could make sense for Washington.

PF Bol Bol, Phoenix Suns (UFA)

Bol Bol may be one of the most intriguing prospects on the open market in general, not just for the Wizards.

At 7-foot-3, the big man has some of the most unique skillsets of any frontcourt player in the entire league. Bol can put the ball on the deck with as an extremely underrated ball handler, and he can stretch the floor as a consistent jump shooter, especially if he were to receive a larger role in the right situation.

Not to mention the Oregon product's wing span allows for him to be a more than solid defender with the ability to serve as a quality shot blocker.

Bol does things at his size similar to Victor Wembanyama, Chet Holmgren and/or Kristaps Porzingis that most people would think warrant the hype.

Still, he's struggled to carve out a role throughout his NBA career, which could encourage him to find a landing spot that allows for him to play extended minutes and prove how impactful he can be in the right situation.

In Washington, he could be able to do exactly that alongside another versatile 7-footer in Alex Sarr.

G Jalen Hood-Schifino, Philadelphia 76ers (UFA)

Jalen Hood-Schifino was selected just outside of the lottery in the 2023 NBA Draft by the Los Angeles Lakers.

At 6-foot-5, the Indiana product has the size and skillset to be a quality NBA guard, but he's struggled to carve out a role through his first two seasons suiting up in only 36 games between stops with the Lakers and Philadelphia 76ers.

If the Wizards are interested in taking a swing on backcourt potential, Hood-Schifino could be a name worth monitoring.

F Emoni Bates, Cleveland Cavaliers (UFA)

Emoni Bates was once one of the most hyped high school prospects entering his freshman season at Memphis.

After a lackluster start with the Tigers during his freshman year, the 6-foot-8 guard transferred to Eastern Michigan, where he immediately showed off why he was a highly touted prospect. His strong season earned him to hear his name called in the second round of the 2023 NBA Draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers, but has since struggled to carve out a role.

Despite that, the talent is there and he'd be an interesting developmental prospect for a team like the Wizards to take a swing on and see if there is any potential in him becoming more than just a bottom of the bench player.
