8. Where can Deni Avdija improve to continue his breakout?

Deni Avdija has made major improvements to his game this season, sparking a breakout year for the Wizards forward. Avdija has stepped up his game defensively, greatly improved his outside scoring, and his become one of the league's best scorers on the drive. As the 23-year-old enters his four-year rookie extension next season, the team will continue to work with Deni to refine his game.

If the Wizards' staff can continue to develop Avdija's handle, the strides he has made on his driving offense will extend even further. Not only would a better handle improve his ability to find open looks around the rim, consistently finding open teammates on drive-and-dish plays would turn him into the focal point of this offense.

9. Does Landry Shamet get waived this summer?

After being sent to the District from the Phoenix Suns, Landry Shamet has spent most of the season coming off the bench, making just five starts for the Wizards this year. The 27-year-old shooting guard has struggled to find his mark from three-point range in a Wizards jersey, shooting just 33.8 percent from deep.

With Shamet's $11 million deal non-guaranteed for 2024-25, the Wizards have the option to waive him before June 29th without receiving a cap hit. Although he has been a productive member of teams in the past, the direction the Wizards are headed this summer may not include Shamet.
