Best NBA prop bets today for Hornets vs. Wizards (Kyle Kuzma stays hot for Washington)
By Peter Dewey
Two of the worst teams in the Eastern Conference face off on Friday night in Washington, D.C. with the Washington Wizards hosting the Charlotte Hornets.
Washington has been brutal against the spread at home this season, posting a league worst 9-20 record. The Hornets aren't much better on the road, going 12-19 ATS, so why not look at the prop market for our best bets?
I have a pair of props for Wizards wings that have been seeing a ton of usage, and Charlotte rookie Brandon Miller may be undervalued in one area entering this game.

Let’s break down each of these props in what should be a high-scoring matchup between two of the league’s worst defenses:
Hornets vs. Wizards best NBA prop bets
- Kyle Kuzma OVER 22.5 points
- Deni Avdija OVER 27.5 points, rebounds and assists
- Brandon Miller OVER 2.5 3-pointers made
Kyle Kuzma OVER 22.5 points
Wizards forward Kyle Kuzma has cleared this prop in seven of his last 10 games, and now he gets a favorable matchup against the No. 28 defense in the NBA.
Over this 10-game stretch, Kuzma is averaging 24.3 points per game while shooting 50.0 percent from the field and 40.6 percent from beyond the arc.
He already has games with 28 and 33 points against the Hornets this season, and we’ve seen Kuz take at least 19 shots in seven of his last 10 games. He’s a steal at this prop number on Friday night.
Deni Avdija OVER 27.5 points, rebounds and assists
Deni Avdija has stuffed the stat sheet all season long, averaging 6.7 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game, but his scoring is starting to come along as of late, making him an interesting prop target for Washington.
In his last 12 games (since the start of February), Avdija is attempting 13.3 shots per game and shooting an impressive 44.2 percent from beyond the arc. That’s led to him averaging 18.8 points per game over this stretch.
He’s cleared 27.5 PRA in seven of his last 12, so don’t be shocked if he pushes 20 points in this game and easily goes over this total.
Brandon Miller OVER 2.5 3-pointers made
Charlotte rookie Brandon Miller has taken on an expanded role since the Terry Rozier trade, and I think his 3-point prop is the best spot to find value tonight.
Washington ranks 17th in the NBA in opponent 3-point percentage, and Miller has attempted at least six shots from beyond the arc in eight straight games.
Over that eight-game stretch, the rookie has made three or more shots from deep four times, shooting 36.1 percent from 3 on 7.6 attempts per game.
As long as Miller’s volume stays in the seven to eight range from 3, he’s a solid bet to go OVER this number.
