The Washington Wizards are looking to rebuild from here on out, and it all started by trading Bradley Beal and Kristaps Porzingis last summer. This offseason, they focused heavily on the draft.

They picked up French big man Alex Sarr with the second pick, Pittsburgh guard Bub Carrington with the 14th pick, and Miami wing Kyshawn George with the 24th pick. Though Sarr struggled mightily in Summer League, all three have a ton of potential.

But since they are resetting, they could look to trade some of their previous core, as they already did in the case of Deni Avdija, who got sent to the Portland Trail Blazers.

Maybe Corey Kispert could be next. He’s a quality three-point shooter, but he’s 25 years old and could get them great value on the trade market. Here are five potential Kispert destinations from whom the Wizards could get returns that would help their future immensely.

1. Los Angeles Lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers will be doing whatever they can to improve the team around LeBron James and Anthony Davis this season, and Kispert would fit in beautifully alongside them.

For years, the Lakers have failed to put adequate three-point shooters around their stars, but perhaps with JJ Redick in charge, that will become more of a priority. Kispert fits that billing.

Plus, since Kispert is still on his rookie contract, it would be relatively easy for the Lakers to trade for him in terms of matching his contract.

Meanwhile, the Lakers would likely have to trade first-round picks that are very far into the future, which would be great for the Wizards, as Los Angeles could be a lottery team by then.

2. Milwaukee Bucks

After losing Malik Beasley in free agency this summer, the Milwaukee Bucks could use some extra shooting on the roster, even though they did replace him with Gary Trent Jr.

Like the Lakers, Kispert’s tradable contract would make life a lot easier on the Bucks, who have a very expensive roster. And again, like the Lakers, the picks Milwaukee would be able to trade could be intriguing, as they would be far out into the future.

On top of that, the Bucks could be willing to dish out a young project player like MarJon Beauchamp, Andre Jackson Jr., or AJ Green.

3. Denver Nuggets

For two straight summers, the Denver Nuggets have lost two huge contributors. First, it was Bruce Brown, and this offseason, it was Kentavious Caldwell-Pope.

Kispert is a dream trade target for contending teams. He’s a quality NBA contributor on a cheap contract, and he’s only 25 years old. And the same concept can be applied to Denver’s picks as it can to Los Angeles and Milwaukee.

4. Memphis Grizzlies

As the Memphis Grizzlies look to get back into the realm of contention, adding a high-level three-point shooter who isn’t a slouch on the defensive end would be ideal.

They could offer the Wizards a healthy mix of draft capital and young players who are worth taking a chance on for a rebuilding team.

5. Indiana Pacers

This past season, the Indiana Pacers were massive overachievers. They made it to the Eastern Conference finals but were unable to take down the Boston Celtics, who eventually won an NBA Championship.

Adding an elite three-point shooter to the rotation would be a great way to help them take the next step in hopes of winning a championship with Tyrese Haliburton at the helm.
