The Washington Wizards acquired Malcolm Brogdon in the trade that sent Deni Avdija to the Portland Trail Blazers ahead of the 2024 NBA Draft. However, it seems relatively unlikely that he will remain with the team for the foreseeable future.

There’s a chance that they keep him around to be a veteran for their young core, but considering they already have too many players on their roster, a trade could be on the horizon for Brogdon.

5 Malcolm Brogdon potential trade destinations for Wizards

With that in mind, here are five potential trade partners the Wizards could work with for a Brogdon deal.

1. Houston Rockets

As the Houston Rockets look to compete for the playoffs heading into next year, they could be looking for additional talent to add to their roster, and Brogdon could be an option.

There were reports in the past that the Rockets were interested in trading for Brogdon, so perhaps they could be willing to strike a deal now.

2. Los Angeles Lakers

Maybe the Los Angeles Lakers will have bigger dreams in mind than Brogdon, but his ball-handling and three-point shooting would be a great fit on their roster.

The Lakers will be looking to help LeBron James and Anthony Davis compete for a title, and maybe Brogdon could be an option for them on the trade market.

3. Orlando Magic

The Orlando Magic signed Kentavious Caldwell-Pope this summer, so maybe they aren’t in the market to bring in another veteran guard, but Brogdon could help them.

Brogdon would be a great floor general to play behind Jalen Suggs, and his shooting would mean he could fit in with virtually any lineup Orlando threw out on the floor.

4. LA Clippers

Now that Paul George has departed from the LA Clippers in favor of the Philadelphia 76ers, the team has a bit more flexibility. They would probably rather have George, but hey.

The Clippers almost traded for Brogdon last summer before the deal fell apart, so bringing him on board now wouldn’t be the craziest thing in the world.

5. Memphis Grizzlies

Depending on where the Memphis Grizzlies find themselves in the playoff picture at the start of next season, bringing in some veteran help could be interesting.

Brogdon’s shooting and ball-handling would give their bench a nice boost if they can find the right trade package to put together.
