The Washington Wizards season feels like it came to an end if you're able to overlook the countless moves that general manager Will Dawkins has made over the last couple of months.

It feels like just yesterday that we witnessed Bub Carrington's buzzer beater heroics preemptively prevent them from seeing their dream offseason come true in terms of landing the No. 1 overall pick to select Cooper Flagg in the 2025 NBA Draft.

Nonetheless, even though the Wizards dream offseason didn't come to fruition, the team still managed to put together an underrated flurry of moves as of late that only adds fuel to the fire of their long-awaited rebuild.

With newcomers such as CJ McCollum, Tre Johnson, Will Riley and even Cam Whitmore headlining a new-look roster for the Wizards, all eyes are shifted towards the 2025 regular season.

However, to get to that point, we have to get past the preseason first.

Fortunately, fans won't have to wait much longer as the NBA preseason schedules have been released and with Washington's three preseason dates revealed, here's a look at when and where the Wizards will be playing:

October 12 vs. Toronto Raptors (Capital One Arena) | 3:00 PM ET

The Wizards will start their preseason journey at home against the Toronto Raptors, where fans will get potentially their first look at the team's new starting lineup and a glimpse of Brian Keefe's plan for rotation minutes.

In their lone home preseason game, expect the fans in D.C. to show up and show out.

October 13 @ New York Knicks | 7:30 PM ET

Just one day later, the Wizards will be in action again on the second night of a back-to-back against the New York Knicks on the road. Expect Washington to potentially sit key players and allow for rest while they still can.

October 16 @ Detroit Pistons | 7:00 PM ET

Washington will finish their preseason stretch on the road in Detroit against the Pistons. The Wizards will likely use the gap between games two and three to get their key players back on the court to gear up towards the regular season.

Washington's preseason schedule all but shows that Wixzards hoops is much closer to returning than many may think.

In nearly two months, the team will be back on the court gearing up to prove they're a sleeper in the East like Cam Whitmore alluded to OR simply to position themselves firmly in the AJ Dybantsa sweepstakes.
