The Washington Wizards have plenty of intriguing prospects on the roster as the rebuild continues in the DMV.

Following an abundance of moves this offseason, there's plenty of new additions that the fanbase has become invested in heading into the season.

Obviously, the big names headlined by Cam Whitmore and rookie Tre Johnson are the biggest storylines for the Wizards heading into the season.

However, the team has several young players on the roster that could play a huge role in the team's rebuild, whether it's immediately or down the road.

One player in specific that has taken no time turning heads is fellow first round pick WIll Riley, who's impressed since arriving in Washington.

In Monday's preseason win over the New York Knicks, fans got to see the first real glimpse at what a confident and aggressive Riley could look like on the court.

The Illinois product finished the contest with 17 points, two assists and two rebounds, while shooting an efficient 7/11 from field goal range.

The oversized guard looked the part of a potential draft steal and while he's still an extremely raw prospect, his ability to impact the game seamlessly in more ways that the stat sheet won't show has been arguably the most impressive part of his game.

In fact, Riley's play hasn't just impressed the Wizards fanbase and coaching staff, but he's began to turned the heads of teammates with his ability to play well beyond his years.

In a recent interview with Bijan Todd of Monumental Sports, Wizards veteran forward Justin Champagnie shared what stands out to him about Riley so far and his answer should make fans excited:

"I think that he's a hard worker," Champagnie told Todd.

"I think that when the ball's in the air, that's when he's at his best and he's hustling to go get it, and he comes up with a lot of them. It's really refreshing to see a young player come in the league, especially at his age, just come out here and play as hard as he can and not look like he's out of place."

For a rookie to play hard and not look out of place is something that rarely happens in the league, especially considering most rookie woes come from players simply playing too fast.

Riley has everything at his disposal to succeed at the next level and with the right development, he could be the next star in Washington.
