The Washington Wizards start to the season may not be the ideal start that fans of the Wizards hoped for, but it could be in the best interest for the organization in the long run.

Washington currently sits at the bottom of the NBA with the worst record in the league at 2-13. Through their rough start the team has shown glimpses of promising basketbal from the young players that make up their roster. However, not even these promising outings show any signs of winning any time soon; at least not this season.

That said, with what looks to be a rough season ahead, here's a look at the team's current drafting order if the NBA Draft was tomorrow and who Washington could elect to draft with each pick.

Round 1, Pick 1: G/F Ace Bailey, Rutgers

Ahead of this NBA offseason, the debate between who should be the No. 1 overall pick in this year's draft between Duke's Cooper Flagg and Rutger's Ace Bailey continues to heat up. Before the start of the season, Flagg seemingly was the favorite to be selected with the top overall pick. However, Bailey has closed the gap and steam continues to pickup for the freshman sensation to go No. 1 overall.

Bailey is averaging 19 points, 5.7 rebounds and 0,3 assist, while shooting 47.6% from field goal range and 41.2% from beyond the arc through the start of the season.

Standing at 6-foot-10, the versatile playmaker has the size as a front court option but the ball handling skills of a guard. He's the ideal building block for any team in the league, especially for a squad like Washington who's looking to get back on top.

If the Wizards do manage to land the top overall pick, they'll have their pick of the litter between the two blue chip prospects. And while Flagg may be the favorite now, Bailey could very well change that by the offseason.

Round 2, Pick 53 (via Suns) SF Milan Momcilovic, Iowa State

With the Wizards likely giving their own second-round pick up to the Celtics, they'll still be able to make a selection on day two of the NBA Draft. For this mock, they could look to bolster up their wing depth with a forward who has impressed throughout the start of the season in Milan Momcilovic.

The Iowa State product has showcased his impressive shotmaking ability through the start of the season and he could be worth a day two flier for the Wizards. Averaging 10.3 points, 4.7 rebounds and 0.3 assists, while shooting 45.8% from field goal range, and 38.9% from three, Momcilovic could be an interesting fit on the Wizards young roster.
