The Washington Wizards rough start to the season has caused plenty of frustration within the fan base and the players on the roster.

However, through the team's 6-30 start, the one good to come from it all has been the team finding themselves in the lead for the No. 1 overall pick this upcoming offseason. And while winning is the ultimate goal in the NBA, the Wizards couldn't have chosen a better year to have one of the worst seasons in franchise history.

With multiple blue chip prospects to choose from at the top of the draft, Washington will have their pick of the litter if the NBA Draft was today. That said, here's a look at the updated two-round mock draft for the Wizards.

Round 1, Pick 1: G/F Cooper Flagg, Duke

Cooper Flagg is without a doubt the top prospect in this draft. The versatile forward is one of the more generational talents in recent years outside of Victor Wembanyama. Duke's freshman sensation is averaging 19.3 points, 8.3 rebounds and 3.9 assists on the season.

The 6-foot-9 playmaker is listed as a guard on Duke's roster, but has the size to go toe-to-toe with any wing in the NBA. With the ability to be a primary ball handler, score anywhere on the court and use his size to be a two-way monster, Flagg without a doubt will be a Wizard if Washington does land the No. 1 overall pick.

Round 2, Pick 38: G Walter Clayton Jr., Florida

Walter Clayton Jr. would be an ideal fit if the Wizards were enticed to snag a guard in the top of the second round. The senior has continously proven to be a more than reliable scorer throughout his college journey and his improves passing has allowed him to showcase his ability to be an all-around player at the next level.

Under the right developmental plan, Clayton Jr. has the tools to develop into a reliable role player.

Round 2, Pick 42 (via Suns): F/C Danny Wolf, Michigan

Danny Wolf could be one of the biggest steals in this upcoming draft. The Michigan center may be one of the more underrated players in not only the Big Ten, but the nation. The versatile 7-footer is averaging 12.5 points, 10.2 rebounds and 3.9 assists, while shooting 58.7% from field goal range and 36.6% from three this season.

Wolf could develop into an even better version of Orlando Magic's big man Mo Wagner.

Round 2, Pick 45 (via Warriors): C Johni Broome, Auburn

Johni Broome could be a late-round flyer worth taking for the Wizards as they look to bolster their front court moving forward. The center has spent five seasons in college where he's gained plenty of experience and fine-tuned his game. Averaging 18.7 points, 11.2 rebounds and 3.4 assists for Auburn this season, Broome could be worth the Wizards final pick.
