Washington Wizards star John Wall is selling his clothes, literally right out of his closet, in order to raise funds for his charity

While some celebrities like to bask in their stardom, others actually enjoy giving back to the community. The Washington Wizards are lucky their star does the latter.

John Wall, who received this year’s NBA Cares Community Assist Award, is doing something rather unique for The John Wall Foundation.

Wall is partnering with TheRealReal to raise funds for the charity, but he’s not doing it an ordinary way.

The three-time NBA All-Star is going to be selling his high-end clothing straight from his closet.

Here’s a description I received from one of TheRealReal’s representatives:

"John Wall is teaming up with The RealReal to sell exclusive pieces from his closet. On June 6th-14th, he is selling his clothes, shoes and more on TheRealReal.com and all of his proceeds will be going to the John Wall Family Foundation, which helps disadvantaged families. Some of the items he is selling include two pairs of Kanye West for Louis Vuitton limited edition sneakers, Y3 X Addidas gear, limited edition Nike hoodies along with plenty of Christian Louboutin sneakers and Givenchy."

Some of the items that Wall is selling for charity are obviously a bit pricey, but others really aren’t.

For instance, he’s selling an ALBA LEGACY zip t-shirt for $50.

So, if you want to own a piece of John Wall’s clothing, this is a solid time to take advantage. More importantly, you would be helping those who need a hand.

As great as Wall has been on the court, it’s great to see him leave a lasting impact on areas that truly matter.

Once his career is over, people will forget about the wins and losses. The no-look passes, the dunks and even the turnovers will be forgotten. The positive impact he leaves on the community will be felt forever.

He’s been a leader both on and off the court and continues to show his worth to the Washington Wizards. Wall has always gone out of his way to help those in need and gives back whenever he can. The recognition he received from the league for his efforts was certainly well-deserved.

It’s a neat concept, really.

I’m sure John Wall has clothes that he’s never worn in his closet. Instead of letting them chill and collect dust, Wall has decided to partner with a group to sell his clothes and raise money for charity. It’s simple, but super effective.
