I'm a basketball junkie & optimistic Washington Wizards fan. Glad to be a part of such a small, yet relatively loyal, Wizards fan base.
Bullets/Wizards fan since I did a book-report in elementary school on Moses Malone. To this day I wonder what would have happened had David Stern allowed Juwan to go to Miami and the Wizards built around Webber & Wallace. I will also go to my grave thinking Juwan Howard ruined Calbert Chaney's career. As you can tell, I'm not a Juwan fan.

I write about the Washington Wizards because sometime you need a healthy outlet for these sorts of things.
I'm a lifelong Northern Virginia resident and a DC sports fanatic. The NBA is my favorite league, therefore the Wizards are my favorite team. Been to the highest of highs and lowest of lows with this squad and love every minute of it. Each season brings new hope so we can never turn away. Also...Proud Hokie alum!!!
It all started when I saw Gilbert Arenas hit the game tying three in game 6 against the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2006. I have never looked back on the Wizards since and have lived through the ups and downs (mostly downs) of being a fan of this franchise. I'm also a huge Redskins fan, and occasionally watch some Georgetown Hoyas.
I love watching basketball even it means I get less sleep. Die-hard Wizards fan and can't wait to see John Wall hold up that Larry O'Brien NBA Championship Trophy. Thanks for reading!
We aren't called FanSided for nothing. Our network of sports, entertainment and lifestyle sites are powered by fans that want to cover their passions! Whether you are just looking to get your start in online media or you want to contribute to your favorite site as a hobby, FanSided wants to hear from you.
Our work is regularly featured on SI.com and Bleacher Report and many FanSided writers have gone on to work full-time in online media. FanSided hired over ten of its own writers in 2013 and there are currently FanSided alums working at other major media outlets and with professional sports teams.
FanSided was born in 2007, when two brothers felt that their favorite team, the Kansas City Chiefs, was being under-covered by the mainstream media. Taking matters into their own hands, they launched Arrowhead Addict, a move that would spawn a network of over 290 fan-powered unique sports and entertainment sites dedicated to team-specific, sport-specific, genre-specific, and fanbase-specific coverage.
From sports, movies and TV to lifestyle and tech, FanSided has you covered.
