The Washington Wizards played one of their best games of the season. The Cleveland Cavaliers had a 17-point deficit in the final minutes, but LeBron James would take over to secure the win.

On Thursday, the Washington Wizards played the Cleveland Cavaliers. With both teams still playing for playoff positioning.

The Wizards entered the game holding the seventh spot in the East, while the Cavs are in third.

After two disappointing losses this week, Washington was looking to get back on track.

It was good to see Tyronn Lue back on the sidelines, after taking a break to look after his health.

Unfortunately in Boston, Kyrie Irving would have season-ending surgery.

Tonight, Cleveland was without Jose Calderon and George Hill (injuries). Cedi Osman got the nod for his first start at point for the Cavs.

After the Wizards appeared to have the game in hand, they would lose their 17-point lead with 6 minutes remaining in the fourth quarter. Falling to the Cavs, 119-104.

The way the game was played, it appeared as if the playoffs had already started.

The Wizards tonight came together. These are the Wizards we expected coming into the season, and they did not disappoint.
