Washington Wizards: 15 best draft picks of all-time
6-foot-4 shooting guard Bradley Beal has been an instant success story since joining the Wizards franchise. He was the third overall pick by Washington in the 2012 NBA Draft and since then, both sides have proven to be a match made in heaven.,
He was selected to the 2012-13 All-Rookie team as a rookie and hasn’t looked back since. Beal is averaging 18.7 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game while he’s worn a Wizards uniform. He averaged a career-high 23.1 points per game back in the 2016-17 season. while shooting 39.9 percent from three-point range in his career.
The sixth-year shooting guard is shooting 39.3 percent from 3-point range and 44.6 percent from the field through his career as well. After a strong 2017-18 campaign, Beal made his first All-Star game as a member of the Wizards.
He recorded a career-high 51 points on 21-of-37 (56.8 percent) shooting against the Portland Trail Blazers back on Dec. 5. He was also 5-for-12 (41.7 percent) from the 3-point arc.
Beal and John Wall are becoming the backcourt of the future for the Wizards organization. They could use some help on the interior, although they need to get younger at the same token.
Beal is proving to be a worthy investment since signing a hefty extension through the 2020-21 season in the 2016 offseason. He’s on pace to be the best 3-point shooter in franchise history, now he’ll just need to add a deep playoff run to his résumé.
It helps Beal appeared in all 82 games for the club after Wall missed half the season. He’ll be a better distributor in 2018-19 because of it, there’s no doubt about that.
