Morris the man:

After an altercation with Knicks’ rookie Mitchell Robinson with led to an ejection in Monday’s preseason opener, Markieff Morris had a great bounce-back game.

Although Beal led all players in scoring, it was Morris who took home player of the game honors Friday night. In 26 minutes of play, Morris recorded a double-double of 13 points and10 rebounds to lead the way in Washington.

As Morris showcased his skills in all aspects of the game, it was his shooting performance that stood out the most. He shot 44.4 percent from the field, which included going 3-5 from the outside.

With his ability to spread the floor and clean the glass, this preseason game showed that Morris, along with Dwight Howard and Otto Porter, will create one of the best frontcourt trios in the league.
