Dud: Jerome Robinson

The Washington Wizards will be playing in Orlando without Bradley Beal or Davis Bertans. Together, the two accounted for more than 50 percent of the team’s three-point attempts each game.

Through the first 64 games, the Wizards averaged 33.1 three-point attempts each game. Beal provided 8.4 of those, Bertans provided 8.7. So with both of them out, the Wizards will need to find some long-range firepower.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like Jerome Robinson will be the answer from outside for the Wizards. Despite being a 38 percent three-point shooter at Boston College, the second-year wing struggled from behind the arc during his short time in D.C. before the multi-month break. He was even worse during the scrimmages.

Through the three scrimmages, Robinson made just six of his 20 attempts from behind the three-point line, including an abysmal shooting performance against the Lakers in which he made just three of his eleven attempts from long range.

When Robinson came to Washington at the deadline from the LA Clippers, it seemed like he could step in and provide some shooting on the wing. So far, he hasn’t really been able to do that. Hopefully he can find his rhythm during these final eight games. He should get plenty of shot attempts to help figure it out.
