These guys need to play better if the Washington Wizards want to improve their record in the bubble.

The NBA is officially back, but the Washington Wizards have not had much luck since the season restarted. Officially, the Wizards are 0-1 in the bubble after their 125-112 loss to the Phoenix Suns. Including the scrimmages, though, the Wizards are 0-4 in Orlando. This is not the start they were hoping for.

After just one game, the Wizards are already at risk of letting their slim playoff chances evaporate before the end of the third game. On paper, the Suns were the Wizards’ best chance at a win. They entered the bubble with the worst winning percentage of any team in the bubble, excluding the Wizards.

But the Wizards lost anyway.

Their second matchup, however, presents a maybe more winnable opportunity against a decimated Brooklyn Nets team. The shorthanded Nets were trounced in their bubble opener by the Orlando Magic and still sit 6.0 games ahead of the Wizards in the standings.

While both the Suns and Nets entered the bubble with a losing record, the Wizards will only play one of their final six seeding games vs a team that entered the bubble with a losing record; the New Orleans Pelicans.

For the Wizards, their matchup with Brooklyn is one they can win. If they want to make the playoffs, it’s one they have to win.

Here are the three Wizards that need to step up to help get W.
