Scott Brooks and the Washington Wizards needs to continue to stack wins in the second half of the season. Here are four players he’s finally starting to utilize better!

It’s amazing what winning can do! Just a few short weeks ago, fans were calling for Scott Brooks’ job after the Washington Wizards jumped out to a disappointing 6-17 start. All seemed lost and fans were ready to blow everything up. And I’m sure some still are. But Brooks continued to have faith that his team would string some wins together. Thank God he was right because it was starting to look bleak early on and his casual “it’ll get better” attitude felt out of touch.

However, just before the All-Star break hit, Washington was finally playing winning basketball. The Wizards were 9-7 in the month of February and were 8-3 in their 11 games preceding the All-Star break. Brooks stepped up as a leader and has guided this team while facing harsh criticism and various reports of being on the hot seat. I’m not sure if it was the pressure that forced him to shake things up, but he eventually realized the importance of utilizing his bench and making in-game adjustments.

The minor turnaround hasn’t put Brooks on any shortlists for Coach of the Year, yet, but he deserves credit for making changes that have resulted in wins for the Wizards. By choosing to give different guys more opportunities, Scott Brooks has done wonders for the Wizards!
