Richaun Holmes has lost a majority of his minutes and may be on the block.

The Sacramento Kings have had a resurgence this season. Finding themselves not only winning games but also in the third seed with two young stars that will be around for a long time in De’Aaron Fox and Keegan Murray.

Even with the ridiculous production from Murray beyond the arc, as well as their pretty solid depth at the two spot, it would be understandable if they are looking to upgrade their wing depth just a little bit.

This is where the Washington Wizards come in. With a little too much wing depth for their own good and a player who is “open to a change in scenery” in Will Barton, this seems nearly perfect to swap him for Richaun Holmes. However, since is on a guaranteed deal for another season after the conclusion of this one and has a player option after that, it’s likely that the Kings would want one of those Lakers picks included in a swap of Barton and Holmes.

Holmes is an interesting fit with the Wizards since he is a center who can run the floor. He has great touch with a strong floater game and could be interesting if given the opportunity to be a stretch five. He shot over 35% from three in the only season he took any real number of threes per game.
