Ian Mahinmi rarely played despite his huge contract.

Another benefactor of the insane 2016 offseason, Ian Mahinmi was given over $15 million a year to be a bench warmer who rarely played. Mahinmi not only didn’t deserve the deal he got, but the Washington Wizards also couldn’t even use him in a trade due to his contract.

During his four-year stint with the Wizards, Mahinmi averaged a whopping 5.3 points and 4.5 rebounds. His efficiency wasn’t particularly great either, although he did shoot 52.6 percent from the floor.

Even worse than his incredibly disappointing statistical output, he only played 180 games during his time in Washington. That’s 45 games per season, that’s only 56.6% of the games he could have possibly appeared in.

When the Wizards made it to the postseason, he was almost completely removed from the lineup in both of the playoff series he played in. His stats were also not good in those games.

This is easily one of the worst contracts on this list and only one other can beat it. Fortunately, everybody who has made it this far is about to find out whom.
