John Wall was an elite player, but injuries ended his career as an effective player.

We all knew John Wall would be on here, he is one of the best in franchise history, which earned him a super max contract and one of the highest salaries in the league. However, injuries hit him harder than almost any other player in history.

After signing his massive contract in 2017, the most games John Wall has played in a season was 41 games. He would only play 73 games with the Washington Wizards in his last three years with the team.

He would then get traded to the Houston Rockets where he would be for two years and play only 40 games. After being waived he signed with the Los Angeles Clippers where he was kind of healthy and he played ok at best but was very inefficient before being traded back to the Rockets and getting waived again. The Rockets are paying him over $50 million this season.

While he may have earned the contract before he signed it, the deal has aged horribly, and it caused the Wizards to be laughing stocks once again due to a horrible contract. This was worsened by the fact that only a small handful of players made more than him, including Stephen Curry and Russell Westbrook.

John Wall is still a fan favorite amongst Wizards fans and many hope to see the return of Optimus Dime to Washington.
