The Washington Wizards are set to look like a very different team next season, they have made a handful of trades already and likely aren’t done following a surprising draft selection. Already, the roster looks like a completely different team from what they ran last season.

To kick off the new front office’s first offseason, they traded Bradley Beal in a deal that looked horrible. At the time, the seemingly only received Chris Paul, Landry Shamet, and an undisclosed number of second-round picks, and an unknown number of first-round pick swaps.

This was immediately followed by a disappointing package in return for Kristaps Porzingis built around the 30th pick and Marcus Morris. However, this trade fell apart and was quickly replaced with a far better package, this time featuring multiple second-round picks and Tyus Jones, along with other quality players who will likely be flipped at the deadline.

After all of that was over, the Wizards then flipped Chris Paul and the 57th pick (Trayce Jackson-Davis) for a monstrous package from the Golden State Warriors including Jordan Poole, Patrick Baldwin Jr, Ryan Rollins, a 2030 top-20 protected first-round pick, and two second-round picks.

These moves have left the Washington Wizards’ depth chart looking intriguing

Guards:

Jordan Poole

Tyus Jones

Johnny Davis

Monte Morris

Delon Wright

Landry Shamet

Ryan Rollins

Forwards:

Corey Kispert

Deni Avdija

Danilo Gallinari

Anthony Gill

Patrick Baldwin Jr

Xavier Cooks

Balil Coulibaly

Centers:

Daniel Gafford

Mike Muscala

Tristan Vukcevic*

*Vukcevic is currently under contract with BC Partizan Belgrade for another season or two, however before being drafted he informed teams that he would like to be bought out and sign an NBA contract if he were to be drafted. This is likely to cost around the range of $1 million and will make the Wizards have to sign him to a full rookie contract.

All of this could change quickly in a Kyle Kuzma sign-and-trade, but as of now this is what the Washington Wizards roster looks like. This is certainly looking more like a team with direction than they have in years prior.
