Media day has now come and gone for the Washington Wizards. With such an event, fans of the franchise are left with numerous quotes from players and leadership regarding the upcoming season and the future of the team.

As many likely predicted, Jordan Poole was one of the primary names thrown around throughout the day. He had a handful of great highlights, including the revelation that he has taken over as one of the primary leaders of the team as revealed by Bilal Coulibaly.

However, he also continued to embrace the city of Washington, D.C. At one point emphasizing how green the city is due to the sheer number of parks and trees scattering the capitol city.

Later in the same interview, Poole was asked about his “green light” this season, regarding how much he is going to shoot the ball. In response, he circled back to his earlier comment by saying “s green as D.C.”

He further emphasized this comment by discussing how the coaching staff has given him the freedom to run the offense, something we know was a cause of friction during his time with the Golden State Warriors.

It has become clear that Jordan Poole wants to play for the Washington Wizards

In the immediate aftermath of the trade that paired Jordan Poole with the Washington Wizards, the was speculation that he was not pleased with the relocation and the franchise he ended up with.

This speculation largely came from fans of the Golden State Warriors on X (formerly known as Twitter) after the first photoshoot featuring Poole in a Wizards jersey showed the young star making a serious face.

However, since he arrived in Washington, he has had nothing but overwhelmingly positive things to say about the franchise, the front office, and the city. It is clear to any who has followed the situation that Jordan Poole is happy in the situation he has found himself in with the Washington Wizards and is going to be one of the most interesting stories to follow in the coming years.
