Anthony Davis hasn't exactly hidden his feelings about his fit with the Washington Wizards since arriving, which is why it shouldn't come as a shock to fans seeing his activity on social media.
The big man has made it clear that his fit in the DMV hinges on the future vision for the Wizards, and discussions with the team's front office would soon help him realize where he stood in the team's plans.
Washington general manager Will Dawkins suggested that the team planned to compete in the East next season, which made it feel like any concerns about a departure in the near future could be put to rest.
Fast forward to now, though, the Wizards should be on high alert after Davis liked a viral video circulating on social media suggesting his time in D.C. could be over before it even starts.
Anthony Davis is sparking concern on social media
With the offseason officially here for the Wizards, the team's fanbase has plenty of time to scan social media between playoff games.
This fan, in particular, may have found the one thing on social media that adds concern about the future of AD in the DMV:

The video Davis liked is a viral clip on social media circulating about the possibility that the big man may never suit up in a Wizards jersey.
Obviously, the speculation comes from well-known rapper Wale, who isn't exactly known as a reliable NBA source.
Typically, noise like this would just be considered a waste of time to entertain, but with the future Hall of Famer liking the post, it adds fuel to the fire of the noise that was already making its rounds, suggesting the big man's time in D.C. could be limited.
At the same time, though, the post liked by Davis was mentioning one deciding factor that will determine how long Davis stays in Washington.
AD's future will be decided by record at next year's trade deadline
The Wizards have plans to compete next year, but not all plans unfold as expected.
Looking at the roster, there's definitely optimism that Washington could be in the mix next year, especially with the young team adding a top prospect in the 2026 NBA Draft alongside AD and Young.
Washington certainly could be in playoff contention next year, but the reality is that if next year's NBA trade deadline comes and the Wizards once again find themselves well below the .500 mark, it would make absolutely no sense for Davis to want to stick around, nor would it make sense for the Wizards to keep him around.
There's plenty of time for things to change, but for right now, Davis is a Wizard.
