Bilal Coulibaly has a ways to go in his development, but he's shown flashes throughout his three years in the league that has offered optimism for the team's front office in the way he's progressing.

Offensively, the oversized guard has been inconsistent to say the least, but that hasn't stopped him from putting together performances that have raised eyebrows and offering hope of the two-way player he could become.

In the same breath, the most obvious calling card for Coulibaly comes on the defensive end, where he's thrived throughout his young career.

The French product often takes the assignment of defending the opposing teams best player, and that's a challenge he often takes pride in.

Coulibaly truly believes that he can guard any player in the league and he's gone on record to express the confidence several times.

However, in a recent interview, Coulibaly revealed the one player he can't guard and his revelation says it all.

Coulibaly names Will Riley as the one player he can't guard

Coulibaly labeling rookie teammate Will Riley as the one player he cannot guard says more about the reigning first-round pick than it does him.

Obviously, the guard has proven his ability as a capable defender and the fact he's gone on record to list Riley as a player he simply can't guard proves just how special the Illinois product is.

"He's just different," Coulibaly said of Riley. "Like the way he moves, you don't see it pretty often. That makes him really tough to guard".

And watching the former Big Ten standout's confidence increase throughout the last couple months, it's easy to see exactly what Coulibaly is referencing about his frontcourt teammate.

Will Riley is special

Riley has shown on multiple occasions just how special of a scorer he is.

The versatile wing has impecable foot work, next-level IQ and his touch makes him a threat as both a shooter and finisher around the rim.

There's so much to like about his game and as he continues to get comfortable against NBA competition, he's only going to get better and that alone just highlights how talented the Wizards' young core is.

And while averaging 8.9 points on the season may not scream "future star" to some, what he's shown in each of the last two months averaging 14+ points per game, it's only a matter of time before there's more defenders around the league listing Riley as the player they simply cannot guard.
