The Washington Wizards found themselves on the wrong side of history Tuesday night as they were forced to watch Bam Adebayo drop 83 points in a dominant win for the Miami Heat.

Adebayo's huge night of course made headlines, and not only were comments flying about Washington's lackluster defense, but how embarrassing it should be for Brian Keefe's squad to allow an opposing player to completely outscore them in a quarter alone.

Obviously, for fans, watching this type of loss stings, even with it helping their chances in the sweepstakes for the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft.

But to make matters worse, being forced to see a former player that many would consider to be the best Wizard of all-time embrace Adebayo's huge night only adds to the pain.

Bradley Beal embraces Bam Adebayo's big night on social media

Shortly after the game ended, former Wizards' superstar Bradley Beal quickly posted to social media seemingly praising the huge performance for Adebayo.

As you can probably expect, fans didn't take too kindly to Beal's Adebayo praise:

Beal's post didn't say much, but his acknowledgement of Adebayo's monster performance adds salt to the wound for fans who have a bitter taste in their mouths already from this loss.

At the same time though, fans also have to understand the personal relationships players across the league make.

With Beal and Adebayo being good friends off the court, it's not a total surprise to see him embrace the big man's historic night.

Still, if Washington's embarrassing loss on Tuesday still doesn't lead them to the top pick in the NBA Draft, things will only get worse.

Wizards need good news in order to forget this performance

Fans were quick to jump to social media both during Adebayo's huge night and after expressing their frustrations.

As you can see above, these comments came during the fourth quarter, just before the Heat star surpassed Kobe Bryant's 81-point performance in 2006.

It's easy to find humor in these type of comments, but at the same times, there's some seriousness to this post.

If Washington truly finds themselves being forced to watch their placement in the NBA Draft Lottery take yet another turn for the worst, just months after Adebayo etched his name in history against them, it will add to the team's rough season.

Regardless, all eyes are on Beal's post for now, at least until the NBA Draft Lottery either adds to the pain or heals all wounds.
