The Washington Wizards have an abundance of young talent on the roster, but as of late, one talent in specifc has began to turn heads.

Reigning No. 6 overall pick Tre Johnson began the season rather slowly after adjusting to the NBA game, but over the last few weeks, the explosive guard has seen his confidence grow.

With head coach Brian Keefe making it a priority to maximize Johnson's skillset on offense, the rookie has began to finally find his rthym.

For a player with Johnson's scoring upside, it doesn't take much to help him find his groove and with the increase in actions on offense, just seeing his shot fall at a higher rate has encouraged him to look to make his mark on the offensive side of the floor.

Averaging 12.5 points on the season, the Texas product hasn't broken out just yet, but he has shown plenty of flashes of exactly why the Wizards decision makers felt comfortable taking a swing on his upside just outsive of the top five this offseason.

In fact, Johnson isn't just turning heads inside the building, but he's beginning to receive high praise from stars around the league too.

Devin Booker praises Tre Johnson

The Wizards have matched up against the Phoneix Suns a couple times over the last week and in each game, Johnson has put together impressive performances.

Totaling 24 points on 75% shooting in in the first matchup and 19 points on 53.3% shooting on Sunday, the Wizards young guard has proven just how impactful he can be on the offensive side of the court.

Putting solid performances together in front of star guard Devin Booker, who Johnson has began to draw comparison's to, the rookie has impressed the four-time All-Star.

Following the Suns' win over the Suns, Booker shared what he's seen from Young and what he thinks about the comparisons:

"He's smooth, He can shoot the ball, he can do a little bit of everything," Booker said. After being asked what he thought of the comparisons, Booker said "I'll take that after what he was doing tonight. He looks like a special talent."

Johnson's development will be a major key for the Wizards rebuild moving forward and if he's able to emerge as a building block in Washington like the team expects him to, the Wizards will have a special core to build their roster around moving forward.

All that to say, with Johnson turning heads, it means even more when top players around the league are taking notice.
