It doesn't come as a surprise when the Washington Wizards are mentioned in rumors as trade season in the NBA begins.

Following another historically bad start to the regular season for the Wizards, it's become increasingly obvious that the team is closer to yet another roster shakeup than they are standing pat ahead of the NBA trade deadline in February,

Obviously, names like CJ McCollum and Khris Middleton immediately come to mind when discussing the players Washington could be motivated to move on from ahead of the deadline, but there's no doubt the Wizards will have their hands full turning that motivation into reality.

Looking at the veteran's lucrative contracts and production at their age, the Wizards may find themselves stuck holding on to the veterans until the season comes to an end; that is as long as the Wizards don't choose to buyout either vet if they don't find a willing teanm to make a move.

Nonetheless, outside of the veterans, the Wizards have a few trade candidate that the team could look to move on from prior to February's deadline.

In fact, this Wizard in specifc has made it obvious that of the moves on the table, he may be left on the outside looking in.

Wizards may move on from Justin Champagnie

Justin Champagnie earned a standard contract with the Wizards this offseason after impressing during his stints in the DMV last season.

The former undrafted prospect has quietly developed into a solid depth piece and his young age and scoring upside made it seem like he could be a solid value piece for the Wizards rebuild moving forward.

However, to start the season, Champagnie's inconsistency has made it seem like he could very well find his time in D.C. limited moving forward.

With the arrival of Cam Whitmore and Will Riley, mixed with the emergence of Kyshawn George, Champagnie doesn't have much leverage to earn rotation minutes when healthy,

And when he does find himself getting opportunities, its become more of a nrom that he doesn't capitalize on his opportunities; at least not in comparison to his impressive performances from last season.

After putting together an underwhelming performance in his start against the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday, finishing with 5 points, 3 rebounds and 1 assist 21 minutes, Champagnie doesn't seem set to carve out a larger role anytime soon.

All. that to say, with Washington likely looking to open up minutes for young players, if interested teams come calling for Champagnie, it's safe to assume the Wizards won't seem to reluctant to move on.
