This offseason has become a pivotal one for the Washington Wizards rebuild as the team continues to position themselves to climb out the constant cycle of medicority they've been stuck in over the last few years.

Washington landed several impact players this offseason with the likes of CJ McCollum, Cam Whitmore and Tre Johnson all set to suit up for the Wizards when the regular season swings around.

McCollum brings experience, Johnson brings a sense of hope and Whitmore brings a bit of irrational confidence to pair alongside his upside.

However, the team has already set themselves up for success in the offseasons prior landing several talented players with the likes of Bilal Coulibaly, Alex Sarr, Kyshawn George and Bub Carrington to name a few.

Three of the above players mentioned got the chance to suit up in Summer League with Coulibaly being the lone player of the four mentioned to sit out of the Wizards offseason play.

Despite that, Coulibaly joins Sarr and George as Wizards players to suit up in the 2025 FIBA AmeriCup representing their respective countries this offseason.

And while both Coulibaly and Sarr's development is just as important, if not more than George's, one thing clear about the Miami product is that he's making it nearly impossible for Wizards fans not to love him, especially after his recent comments about why he wanted to suit up for Team Canada this offseason.

George, like many other athletes in the league viewed the chance to represent his country on his chest as an honor, but that's not the only reason the versatile forward elected to suit up for Team Canada this offseason

When asked why he chose to play in the FIBA AmeriCup, George replied "Offseason was pretty long and I needed to get reps and play basketball, What better to represent your country?", according to Libaan Osman of the Toronto Star.

The Wizards former first-round pick has already become a fan favorite with the flashes he showed on the court this past year, not to mention his high-energy and characters.

But beyond that, his work ethic and clear desire to continue improving his game will only continue adding to the reason Wizards fans will root for the talented wing.

George has the talent to make a major leap this coming season as a sophomore and considering the offseason flashes he's shown in viral training videos and summer league, there's plenty of optimism surrounding the Canadian prospect as the 2025 season looms.
